Dr. Helen Kwong and her staff are committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. Our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function.
We will perform an extensive eye examination that not only insures that you are seeing your best, but also thoroughly assesses your eye health and ocular coordination.
Vision testing starts with a high tech computerized measurement of both your refractive error and the shape of your cornea. We then use advanced equipment to test your complete visual system to arrive at the proper prescription for each patient. This may take the form of eyeglasses or contact lenses, whatever it takes to maintain your visual performance at it's peak.
Perhaps the most important thing we do is help insure that you maintain good eye health to last you a lifetime. One of our newest technologies is Optomap® Retinal Imaging. With Optomap® we can perform a digital scan of your retina which gives us a comprehensive evaluation of your systemic and ocular health without dilation! We use an eye pressure measurement instrument (tonometer) to screen for glaucoma.
We believe in a personalized approach to vision care. When treating an eye condition, we discuss and explain the issues involved. We want you to be informed about your eyes, vision and the products we use. More importantly, we want you to feel comfortable about the care you need and how you we can provide that for you

Laser vision corrective surgery is one of the newest options to see clearly without the use of glasses or contact lenses. LASIK surgery (at this time the treatment of choice) can treat myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia most often with outstanding results.
Just as with all elective surgeries the decision to have laser corrective surgery should be made on an informed basis weighing all of the advantages, disadvantages and potential risks.
We can co-manage refractive surgery and can help you make the correct decision for your individual case.
